Loeb Equipment Supply Company (“Loeb”) has created this Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate its commitment to privacy. Loeb recognizes that its customers care about how their information is used and shared. Loeb wants its customers to understand the types of information collected, how the information is used, and the safeguards in place to protect customer information. At the same time, information is the cornerstone of Loeb’s ability to provide products and services to its customers. This Privacy Policy is part of and subject to the Website Terms of Use posted on the various Loeb websites (“Websites”) and includes Loeb’s information gathering and dissemination practices for the Websites. By using the Websites, whether you are a current Loeb customer or you are a visitor browsing the Websites, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information. Loeb may update this policy from time to time. The effective date noted below indicates the date that this Privacy Policy was last updated. You are responsible for checking this Privacy Policy periodically for changes.

What Information is Collected and Stored?

Loeb may collect and store certain information automatically whenever you access the Websites. The amount and type of information Loeb collects depends upon your use of the Websites. Loeb may collect your contact information, including, but not limited to, name, office addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and financial information. You may browse the Websites without providing personal information. Each time a visitor comes to the Websites, Loeb may count, track and aggregate the activity for analysis of general traffic flows at the Websites. This information is used to improve the Websites and to provide you with an improved on-line experience. Loeb may also use information you provide for billing purposes and to contact you when necessary regarding the status of your order. You agree that Loeb may use this information to contact you to provide additional information regarding Loeb’s products and services, upcoming events, and new Website features.

Advertisers on the Websites, or other websites to which visitors link, may have the ability to assign cookies IP addresses in a process, not under Loeb’s control.

Is Information Collected from Children?

Loeb does not market to anyone who is known to Loeb to be under the age of 18, nor is any personal information collected from anyone who is known to Loeb to be under the age of 18.

Other Circumstances

From time to time, Loeb may sponsor promotional events or conduct surveys that require the collection, processing, and storing of individual contact and demographic information. Loeb may also sponsor activities with other persons or organizations, in which case individual contact and demographic information are likely to be shared with the other participating sponsors. Although Loeb may request that co-sponsors of such events maintain the privacy of the information provided, Loeb has no liability or responsibility where the co-sponsors do not comply with any requests by Loeb.

How Can Information Be Corrected?

The Websites provides customers with the ability to correct information they have provided to Loeb through its Website administrator. You may view or change your information at any time by going to My Account from the applicable Website home page. You agree also to promptly notify Loeb in the event Loeb indicates that your personal information will be disclosed to a third party or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose for which it was originally collected or not subsequently authorized by you.

Opt-out Policy

The default assumption is that you have “opted-in” and consented to the use of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with Loeb’s standard policies and procedures. If you no longer wish to receive information, you may ask us to delete any personal information about you and cease further contact at any time by sending Loeb a request to contactus@loebequipment.com marked “Privacy-Urgent”. Loeb will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from Loeb’s database. While Loeb is processing your request, you may continue to receive communications from Loeb. Loeb shall not be liable for problems arising from the removal of such information.

California Privacy Rights

As of January 1, 2005, California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship, (1) a list of the categories of personal information, such as name, address, e-mail address, and the type of services provided that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties direct marketing purposes, and (2) the names and addresses of all such third parties. To request the above information please send an email message to contactus@loebequipment.com with “Request for California Privacy Information” on the subject line and in the body of your message. The requested information will be provided in response to the e-mail address from which Loeb received the message.

A response to such requests will be provided within thirty (30) days following receipt at the Loeb e-mail address stated above. If a request is received at a different e-mail address, Loeb will respond within a reasonable period of time, but not to exceed 150 days from the date received. Please note that Loeb is only required to respond to each customer once per calendar year.

What Steps Are Taken to Protect Customer Information?

Loeb has implemented commercially reasonable security measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration and destruction of the information under its control. Loeb uses reasonable industry standard procedures and processes to safeguard the confidentiality of personally identifiable information. When a visitor submits information over the Internet, the information may travel over many systems not under Loeb’s control. Others may intercept the information you are sending. To protect personal information, you should take appropriate steps to guard your password and close your browser when away from the computer.
