IKA DR3/13 Dispax Reactor in line disperser, 3 in triclamp style inlet / outlet, S/ S head, 50 HP 3/60/460 56 amps.3500 RPM, 5/8 in fluid inlets, S/S pipe frame, The Dispax Reactor is a high shear dispersing machine for the production of micro-emulsions and very fine suspensions. Produces a small droplet, or particle size, with a very narrow distribution. DR 3-13 series of in-line dispersers, is a high quality, versatile production unit, capable of flow rate throughputs approaching 100 gpm. This rate is based on water (cP=1), gravity fed, with no backpressure. Actual flow rates through the machine depend on: fluid viscosity, fluid behavior under high shear conditions, flow piping schemes, system backpressure, and the rotor/stator setup in the unit itself. The DR 3-13 is not a pump. It develops virtually no suction and hence, must receive a positive inlet flow. While it develops variable discharge pressure, the latter depends on the factors as noted above. Therefore, should specific flow rates be necessary for overall plant production, or if the process fluid discharge is to be significantly elevated (head) compared to the unit, it is strongly advised that a positive displacement pump be used to feed the machine.
