Newman 4VA UNUSED Tray to Tray Labeling System, The 4VAL applies both clear and paper self-adhesive labels in excess of 200 containers per minute to a range of rigid cylindrical containers, such as ampoules, vials, and bottles. 6 ft L x 4 in W Delrin Chain Conveyor, 10 1/2 in dia x 2 in H applicator drum, 12 in dia Label spool w/ 1 5/5 in dia center post, Markem Smart Date Coder, Remote display panel w/ full size keyboard, S/S frame, 4VAL cGMP design and stainless steel construction are claimed to ensure efficient operation. Variable speed control on the 4VAL is said to allow labelling in excess of 200 containers per minute. Each individual container is detected at the labelling point as it passes beneath a sensor, at which point the label feed is activated. The leading edge of the label is driven off the backing web at a linear speed that matches the container speed, which ensures smooth, accurate placement on the container surface. The container, gripped between an applicator drum and presser pad, is controlled as the entire label is pressed firmly in place, ensuring high registration accuracy, said Newman. The 4VAL comes with a number of features as standard, including interlocked guarding, stepper motor drive for label web, straight label arm adjustable in all axes and hand wheel adjustment.
